Website designed by Darren Weiler at Weiler Photography
Darren has had a passion for photography since
he was in 8th grade. During a family vacation to
Nevada, Darren snatched up his dads 35mm
camera and exposed roll after roll of film.
Although not all the images were award winning,
his love for photography grew. During his high
school years, he continued taking photos of
friends and family and eventually purchased his
own Minolta 35mm camera. During his time in
college, he started studying the studio side of
photography. In 2005 Darren married his high
school sweetheart (Kristen Helbling) and they
purchased their first home.
Miranda started with Weiler Photography in the
summer of 2009 and returned again from college to
help through the 2010 wedding season. Miranda is
attending the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND and
working towards her degree in Occupational Therapy.
Miranda helps edit photos and has a great eye for
creative images when she accompanies me on wedding
sessions. When she is not working she enjoys spending
time with her family, baking, and enjoying the beautiful North Dakota
scenery with her friends.
Darci started with Weiler Photography in October of
2009 and is responsible for ordering your portraits.
Darci will also be happy to help answer any of your
questions about our portrait packages and helps with
pre portrait consultations. Darci graduated from
Jamestown College with a degree in Communications
and enjoys taking scenic photos. When Darci is not
working at the studio you can find her working at her
other jobs, reading a good book, or spending time with
her friends.
Onced they were moved in to their new home, Darren took over the 10' x 10'
spare basement bedroom and converted it into his first portrait studio. In the
summer of 2007, Darren and Kristen welcomed their first child Ty Darren into
their family, and Darren's photography began gaining attention. In the spring
of 2008, Darren left his job and began concentrating on his photography
career. During the summer of 2008 space in his home studio started to
become limited and Darren decided to make the move to a store studio in
downtown Dickinson. The doors of the current Weiler Photography studio
opened September 1st, 2008.
As the business continued to grow, Darren became a member of the PPA
(Professional Photographers of America) and NDPP (North Dakota
Professional Photographers). Darren attends conventions in order to continue
his education and offer you new and unique products.
In February of 2009, Darren and Kristen welcomed their second son Zachary
David into their family. As in all good story lines...........TO BE
